vessel is a hand drawn font inspired by the vessels of the human heart and the questioning of what would we see if we peeled the flesh off of fonts? What’s underneath the perceived personalities we give these typefaces we see and use frequently?
vessel had quickly became a passion project, prompting me to develop a fully functional heart model. My goal was to create a heart visualizer for real-world applications, where patients could see their heartbeats in real-time on a monitor, along with their BPM in the vessel typeface. This would help raise awareness about the significance of cardiovascular muscle function. To achieve this, I learned about mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as Arduino.
